Demand for Analytics Talent Surges

The job placement season is off to a record-setting pace for candidates in the Master of Science in Analytics (MSA) degree program. Just two weeks into the process the Institute is on track to schedule more employer visits and log more job interviews with our 39 students than ever before. Already students have an average of seven job interviews (compared to ten tallied at the end of the 16-week placement season last year). Commenting on the surge in demand for MSA students, the Institute’s director Dr. Michael Rappa, observed:

The need for Analytics talent is greater than ever throughout industry—and the Institute has quickly become the preferred recruiting ground of the nation’s leading companies. We see exceptionally strong demand for our students. MSA graduates leave the Institute as well-rounded Analytics professionals, who possess the talent and skills employers need to navigate a difficult economy with data-driven decisions. We anticipate our fourth straight year with a placement rate by graduation over 90-percent.

There are nearly 30 employers scheduled to visit the Institute this spring, many of which are seeking to fill multiple positions. More than half of the visiting companies recruited MSA graduates in past years.
