The first biennial meeting of the Executive Advisory Board was held today on the campus of SAS Institute. All members of the board were in attendance. Members reviewed the progress made during the past six months toward the creation of the new Master of Science in Analytics degree, including what remains in the final steps of the approval process. Information was presented regarding prospective students and career opportunities for graduates, as well as information from the ongoing discussion among faculty regarding the Analytics curriculum. There was also a presentation of the marketing campaign that will be launched to build global awareness for the degree upon final approval by the UNC System authorities. From the spirited discussion emerged many ideas to help guide the initiative toward its goals in 2007. Our sincere thanks to all who participated.
