Job Placement Tops 90-Percent

Despite the challenging economy, the MSA Class of 2009 job placement rate has topped 90-percent within 30 days of graduation. Average starting salaries including signing bonuses exceeded $75,000. During the 120-day placement period beginning in February, the Institute had more employers interviewing (70), hosted more recruiting visits (18), and averaged more interviews per student (7) compared to the same period in 2008.

Ninety-two percent of the job offers originated from companies in the U.S., and half of the offers came from within North Carolina. The Institute arranged 74% of the 231 job interviews, which led to 70% of the offers. Average salaries were off slightly from 2008 mainly due to the far fewer number of signing bonuses received by candidates.
