Director Speaks at Data Science Forum

The Institute’s director Dr. Michael Rappa spoke to a international congregation of academics at the Data Science and Advanced Analytics Forum hosted by SAS, in Cary. The two-day forum highlighted the development of graduate education in the field, and how universities and industry can work together in developing curricula and enhancing education with real-world problems and data. Dr. Rappa’s session also included talks by Dr. Riaan de Jongh, director of the Centre for Business Mathematics and Informatics at North-West University in South Africa, and Dr. Goutam Chakraborty, a professor of marketing at Oklahoma State University.
