The members of the Steering Committee of the Analytics Working Group met today to discuss the first round of curriculum suggestions for the M.S. in Analytics. Over the past few weeks thirty-three members of the Analytics Working Group faculty from seven colleges submitted a total of forty module suggestions. It is a tremendous response both in number and quality, and a great start to the conversation. The focus of the committee’s discussion was on overall coverage of the curriculum. The committee looked for areas of overlap among related suggestions as well as gaps in the curriculum. The modules were grouped into clusters around tools, methods, applications and practice. As a follow-up, each member of the steering committee was asked to look more closely at a different cluster for similarities and differences in modules.
