The new degree program is scheduled to begin in 2014 pending approval of the UNC Board of Governors. Commenting on the proposal, Dr. Rappa said “UNC-Charlotte is moving in the right direction, working together across disciplinary boundaries to develop an education that will help fulfill a growing need in the region for analytics skills. It’s gratifying to know the Institute has been a source of inspiration for our colleagues in Charlotte.”
