The Master of Science in Analytics (MSA) 2019 Employment Report is now available. The Class of 2019 achieved a placement rate at graduation of 95-percent, and the average base salary rose to $98,500—a new record high—with $92,400 for candidates with no prior work experience, and $109,500 for experienced candidates. Organizations interested in sponsoring a student practicum team are invited to submit proposals for consideration for the Master of Science in Analytics (MSA) Class of 2020. The proposal submission period is open through July 1st. Friends and family members gathered today for the Institute’s commencement ceremony honoring 111 students in the Class of 2019. It was a joyful occasion and there was a great deal to celebrate. The Class of 2019 set new records as was one of the most sought-after by employers in the Institute’s decade-long history. Congratulations to Sarah Egan Warren on her award at the 14th annual Graduate Student Research Symposium held March 20. The symposium included poster presentations from more than 200 graduate students from NC State University. Students were nominated by Directors of Graduate Programs to participate. The posters were judged by faculty, and the top three posters from each category received recognition. Warren’s poster (“Former Ballet Dancers’ Transfer of 21st Century Skills to Careers as Data Analysts”) was awarded 3rd place for the College of Education where she is completing her PhD in Educational Leadership, Policy, and Human Development.
