Dr. Christopher Healey and the Institute’s director, Dr. Michael Rappa, were named once again to the Chief Data Officer (CDO) Magazine global list of Academic Data Leaders in 2023, among fewer than 100 individuals named worldwide.
CDO Magazine grew out of the annual Chief Data Officer and Information Quality Symposium founded in 2007 by the MIT Sloan School of Management, in partnership with the International Society of Chief Data Officers (isCDO) and ComSpark. With an audience approaching 400,000 readers, the publication is read in 95% of countries globally.
NC State joins Stanford, MIT, Berkeley, Carnegie Mellon, Columbia, and Harvard as one of the relatively few schools with more than one leader named to the CDO list. Drs. Healy and Rappa were honored to be named on the inaugural list in 2021. The public recognition underscores the role the Institute has played over the past 17 years in helping to make NC State a global leader in data science.
