Admissions Interview

Scheduling Your Admission Interview

The finalist interview is a brief (30-minute) conversation wherein our committee members (a combination of Institute faculty/staff and MSA alumni) will ask you about your interests and professional goals, as well as the skills and talents you might contribute if admitted to the MSA program. While primarily a behavioral interview, we will ask a few technical questions to gain a better understanding of your experience with statistics and coding. Before concluding our conversation, we will also give you an opportunity to ask us program-related questions. You should view this interview just as you would a professional job interview: admission is competitive and seats are limited.

Admissions interviews are by invitation only. The admissions committee will conduct MSA ’24 interviews either in person at NC State’s Institute for Advanced Analytics or virtually through Zoom.
