Bio

Christopher West joined the Institute for Advanced Analytics in December 2012.

Chris guides the institute’s Master of Science in Analytics (MSA) student teams through their 8-month practicum project experience, through which they produce analytics-based results for sponsoring companies, governmental, and non-profit organizations. To date he has overseen over 300 student projects including many sponsored by some of the world’s best-known brands.  

Prior to coming to NC State, Chris retired from the U.S. Air Force as an engineering officer with over 21 years of experience in leadership positions both stateside and in deployed locations. 

In his free time, Chris is an avid runner, Carolina Hurricanes fan, and mediocre mountaineer.
