Recruit Talent

Engage with our M.S. in Analytics students in the ways that work for you.

The Institute for Advanced Analytics’ intensive 10-month Master of Science in Analytics (MSA) program produces job-ready professionals with expertise in data science, statistics, programming (Python, R, SQL), machine learning and visualization. By partnering with us, organizations gain access to exceptional analytics talent prepared to make an impact.

MSA Timeline

  • June: New cohort starts.
  • September – November: Fall recruiting season (rotational programs). Employers host Analytics in Practice (AIP) events.
  • December: Resume book published.
  • January – April: Spring recruiting season (full-time roles). Employers host information sessions.
  • May: MSA graduates ready to begin full-time roles.

“In 20 years of technical recruiting, few programs have been as reliable as NC State’s IAA. Every graduate I’ve hired or worked beside has been a difference-maker from day one.”

Hiring?

Contact Kate Bagley, head of career services, if you’d like to:

  • Request the resume book.
  • Share job openings with current MSA students and/or our 1,564-member alumni community.
  • Host an employer information session (virtual or onsite) for interested students.
  • Conduct interviews with our MSA students (virtual or onsite).

Share Your Expertise

Regardless of whether your organization is actively hiring, we invite you to host an Analytics in Practice (AIP) event — a presentation, case study or panel — to showcase how your teams are approaching real challenges related to analytics. AIPs are intended to be educational, and all MSA students are required to attend.

  • AIP option 1 (virtual or onsite): Host a one-hour presentation with Q&A.
  • AIP option 2 (onsite only): Host a one-hour presentation followed by a one-hour networking reception, sponsored by your organization. The cost typically ranges from $600 (light snacks) to $1,500 (heavy hors d’oeuvres).

Contact Chris West, teaching professor, if you’re interested in getting on our AIP calendar.
