With OASIS Accelerator support, IAA faculty, staff and students executed one-year pilot projects intended to drive progress towards NC State\u2019s institutional academic goals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group\"><div class=\"wp-block-group__inner-container is-layout-constrained wp-block-group-is-layout-constrained\">\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-media-text is-stacked-on-mobile\"><figure class=\"wp-block-media-text__media\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"250\" height=\"141\" src=\"https:\/\/analytics.ncsu.edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/OASIS-IAA-project-250x141.jpg\" alt=\"The IAA's &quot;Co-Designing the Next-Generation Analytics Curriculum&quot; project team\" class=\"wp-image-26512 size-full\" srcset=\"https:\/\/analytics.ncsu.edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/OASIS-IAA-project-250x141.jpg 250w, https:\/\/analytics.ncsu.edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/OASIS-IAA-project-150x84.jpg 150w, https:\/\/analytics.ncsu.edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/OASIS-IAA-project.jpg 400w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 250px) 100vw, 250px\" \/><\/figure><div class=\"wp-block-media-text__content\">\n<p>A team of IAA faculty and staff \u2014 <strong>Kate Bagley, Susan Chen, Dr. Bill Rand, Dr. Andrea Villanes and April Wilson<\/strong> \u2014 led an OASIS Accelerator-sponsored project wherein they surveyed MSA alumni to determine if our curriculum aligns with the rapidly evolving needs of industry. The findings, based on feedback from 160 survey respondents, indicate that our foundational competencies remain strong while demands for skills like SQL, cloud computing and AI usage as a productivity tool are growing. Dr. Villanes presented the survey findings at the IAA Alumni Summit in April. <a href=\"https:\/\/drive.google.com\/file\/d\/1UTEVEcPNVvRI4532j2k7T1AF_nWRa6tb\/view?usp=sharing\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">View her slides here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-media-text has-media-on-the-right is-stacked-on-mobile\"><div class=\"wp-block-media-text__content\">\n<p>The IAA&#8217;s <strong>Dr. Sarah Egan Warren<\/strong> served as a co-principal investigator on an interdisciplinary team of NC State faculty on another OASIS Accelerator-sponsored project. Her team developed a scalable, evidence-based framework for AI literacy at NC State through participatory action research across multiple disciplines, demonstrating that effective AI readiness depends on ethical, context-specific human-AI collaboration embedded within disciplinary learning.
