The Institute welcomes applicants for the Master of Science in Analytics (MSA) Class of 2023, which will begin studies in June 2022. The MSA is the nation’s longest running full-fledged master’s degree program in data science with an unparalleled track record for producing highly sought-after graduates. Learn more and the application process and deadlines. Here are a few answers to prospective applicants’ common questions:
Should I wait until my letters of recommendation are complete before submitting my application? No, you may submit your application when you’re ready and allow the recommendations to follow afterward.
Should I wait until my scores (such as GRE or GMAT) are available before submitting my application? GRE/GMAT scores are not required, nor will they be considered as part of the MSA admissions process. We have found that there is no correlation between students’ scores on these exams and their success in our program.
I am an international applicant. Should I wait until my TOEFL/IELTS scores are available before submitting my application? No, you should not wait. We will review your application — and even conduct your finalist interview, should we offer you the opportunity to have one — prior to receiving your English proficiency test scores. (We will not, however, be able to issue an admission decision until after NC State’s Graduate School receives your official TOEFL/IELTS score report.)See more Frequently Asked Questions about admission.
