B-School Keynote Address

The University of Tampa Sykes College of Business kicked-off the academic year at the gulf coast resort town of Clearwater Beach, Florida, today with the Institute’s director Dr. Michael Rappa as the invited keynote speaker for its fall semester faculty retreat. In his presentation titled Graduate Business Education in the 21st Century, Dr. Rappa discussed how dramatic changes in the employment environment and the practical realities facing students, such as rising tuition and student loan debt, are altering the business school landscape. The emergence of graduate programs in business analytics and its high student ROI, such as with the Institute’s Master of Science in Analytics, offers one viable pathway into future as more and more employers seek graduates with data savvy skills.
